Much like bad weather tore through the northwest the previous evening, Manchester City blew Manchester United aside at the Etihad. It was a convincing three goal win for their manager's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a display that truly announced their championship potential as they reinforced their place at the league summit.

Successive Losses for Manchester United

This scoreline marked consecutive Women's Super League defeats for Skinner's side for the initial occasion since spring 2024, placing them seven points off the table toppers with their title hopes in serious doubt.
