Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a prior setback against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity

This occasion offered a platform for several Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
